The Foundation Programme · Wednesdays 7-9pm
Foundation Programme (FP) gives people the opportunity to engage in a more in-depth and structured approach to the practice of meditation and Buddhism. Through following traditional methods of study we can gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of Buddha’s teachings, develop a powerful meditation practice, and bring about a positive transformation in our mind.
Foundation Programme is for those people who wish to build a solid foundation and experience of Buddhist teachings. Classes include guided meditation, teaching and group discussion, all aimed at enabling students to develop their daily practice and support each other to become skillful meditation practitioners. Everyone is welcome.
Joining the Foundation Programme involves enrolling for a section of the book Universal Compassion and trying to attend all the classes, one of which is an end of section exam. Each class consists of chanted prayers, a guided meditation, teaching and discussion. You are welcome to attend a class before enrolling and you can join at any time.
The class fee is £20 pcm. It is also available through KMC Liverpool Membership which includes all classes, courses & retreats for free.
