Buddha Vajrasattva is the embodiment of the completely pure mind of all the Buddhas.  By receiving the special blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, we can purify the potentials of our negative actions and free ourselves from their suffering results.  All the problems and difficulties we experience in our daily life, including obstacles to our spiritual practice, arise from our own past negative actions or karma.  By receiving Buddha Vajrasattva’s blessings, we can swiftly purify them all and come to experience the bliss of a completely pure mind.

The empowerment will be followed by a short retreat on the special purification practice of Buddha Vajrasattva.  This retreat gives us a special opportunity to draw closer to Vajrasattva and receive his special purifying blessings.  Feel your unhappiness and obstacles fall away as you recite the mantra of Buddha Vajrasattva and ripen your potential for pure happiness.

Please note: To maintain social distancing, seating in the Meditation Room is very limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis; we would ask everyone seated in the Meditation Room to please wear a mask. Overflow seating is available in the Café; if you are exempt or would prefer not to wear a mask, please sit in the overflow area.

The teacher of this course is Gen Kelsang Jigme. Ordained as a monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Jigme has studied, practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. He shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in our daily life.
