Anyone can meditate: it’s easy to learn and simple to do. This series is perfect for beginners and for experienced meditators. Each week you’ll learn a different meditation from the Meditations for a Kind Heart series, based on the illuminating books of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
These simple guided meditations that can be practised by anyone. With regular practice, they will help to develop greater peace of mind and happiness, and to improve our relationships with others through learning to cherish others.
Our easy-to-access sessions are available online live at 7:30pm on Thursdays or via catch-up for a week, so you can watch them at a time that’s right for you.

The first meditation is the principal meditation, and success in the other two depends upon gaining experience of this one first. In this meditation we will cultivate a good heart, wishing for others to be happy and free from suffering. This is true cherishing, and pure love.
The second meditation is a practical meditation on compassion, which is a sincere wish to protect others from suffering. Using a special visualization, we increase the power of our good heart and develop the compassionate wish to take away others’ suffering.
The third meditation is a practical meditation on love, which is a sincere wish to give happiness to others. We develop a strong wish for others to experience pure, lasting happiness and peace, and visualize ourself actually giving them this happiness. In this way, we deepen and strengthen our pure love.
