Anyone can meditate: it’s easy to learn and simple to do.  This series is perfect for beginners and for experienced meditators. Each week you’ll learn a different meditation from the Meditations for a Kind Heart series, based on the illuminating books of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

These simple guided meditations that can be practised by anyone. With regular practice, they will help to develop greater peace of mind and happiness, and to improve our relationships with others through learning to cherish others.

Our easy-to-access sessions are available online live at 7:30pm on Thursdays or via catch-up for a week, so you can watch them at a time that’s right for you.

15th April – Cherishing Others

The first meditation is the principal meditation, and success in the other two depends upon gaining experience of this one first. In this meditation we will cultivate a good heart, wishing for others to be happy and free from suffering. This is true cherishing, and pure love.

The teacher of this course is Gen Kelsang Jigme. Ordained as a monk in 1997 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Gen Jigme has studied, practised and taught Kadampa Buddhism under Geshe Kelsang’s guidance in major Kadampa Centres throughout the UK for many years. He shows a humble, kind example as a practitioner and his clear explanations of Buddha’s teachings give us the confidence to practise them in our daily life.
